Bhubaneswar: By raising voice against
discrimination through short film, the students of the Sai International School
of the city have won the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award. His short film
'Labels' won the award highlighting how conservatives in the society are
creating barriers for personal development. The team behind the movie won the
award in the public service advertisement category in Delhi. Films include
Milan, Mallchar, Balaji Patrika, Akhya Acharya, Aditya Patra, Shrishishri
Nayak, Swapan Soren, Shaba Hussein, Shruti Jena and Yatan Batwal. The team
prepared the concept of making the entire film itself in preparation for all
aspects of screenplay, shooting, editing and production in his school. In the
film 'Labels', youth have addressed issues of social stigma and supremacy
through discrimination on the basis of caste, religion, caste, gender and
presence, which have created conservative compositions which affect the lives
of millions of people around the world. .
